Four Auto Burglaries and Two Attempted Residential Burglaries in South Pasadena

south pas policeAccording to South Pasadena police, there were four auto burglaries and two attempted residential break-ins reported from April 26 to May 5.

The first auto burglary took place April 26 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the 2000 block of Stratford Ave. The suspect gained entry into a ’95 Honda Accord through unknown means and stole keys and electronics.

The second auto burglary took place May 1 at 7:34 a.m. at the 1900 block of Fremont Ave. The victim noticed the suspect attempting to break into her Honda Fit and immediately called the police. The suspect, a 26-year-old black male from Los Angeles, was located and discovered to have an outstanding warrant. The victim’s cellphone, sunglasses, iPod, wallet, purse and jewelry were recovered.

The third auto burglary took place May 4 from 10:15 a.m. to 6:10 p.m. at the 1400 block of Mission St. The suspect broke into an Acura Integra through unknown means and took glasses.

The fourth and final auto burglary took place May 5 from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Fair Oaks Ave. and Grevelia St. The suspect smashed the window of a Toyota Camry to gain entry and took a bag.

The first attempted residential burglary took place on April 30 at 11:06 a.m. at the 800 block of Monterey Rd. The suspect pried at a window to gain entry, only to leave after the victim noticed her. Officers called on scene were unable to locate the suspect, who is a Hispanic female in her mid-30s, 5’03”, and 150 lbs and last seen wearing a baseball cap, grey shirt, black fleece vest and long black shorts.

The second attempted residential burglary took place May 1 between 7:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the 1100 block of Mound Ave. The suspect attempted to pry open the rear door but failed to gain entry and was ultimately unsuccessful.
