South Pasadena Weekly Crime Summary

south pas policeThe South Pasadena Police Department issued a press release containing reported crimes for this past week.

A theft happened May 9 between 2:22 p.m. and 2:49 p.m. at the 90 block of Pasadena Ave. The suspect cut and removed a catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.

A suspect made an unsuccessful attempt to steal a ’98 Honda Civic on May 10 between 8:30 a.m. and 10:57 a.m. at the 800 block of Fairview. They were able to gain entry into the vehicle by unknown means but failed to start it and left.

Another suspect successfully stole a ’94 Acura Integra on May 11 between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m.

A Toyota Tacoma was stolen on May 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the 400 block of Prospect Blvd., but the vehicle was later found in Los Angeles with only garden equipment missing.

An assault took place May 11 at 12 p.m. on the 1700 block of Gillette Crescent.  A mother stabbed her son with a kitchen knife during a family argument. She later committed herself into the mental hospital.
