Pasadena Chalk Festival

The world famous Pasadena Chalk Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday June 17 and 18th.   The annual event held the 2010 Guinness World Record as the largest public art event of it’s kind.  This father’s day marks the 25th anniversary of the event which takIMG_3998es place at Paseo Colorado mall (280 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA  91101).

More than 600 artists from all over Southern California and beyond gather to draw 200 chalk murals on the concrete walkways throughout Paseo Colorado as tens of thousands of visitors watch them in action.

The event benefits the arts and learning programs of Pasadena’s Light Bringer Project organization.  Visitors will also be able to enjoy live music and a variety of food and entertainment choices throughout the Paseo.  Families can also play together at Chalkland, where children and youth can make their own art.
