Fire Officials Release Medical Incident Data For Rose Parade Day

Pasadena Fire Department officials announced medical and fire incident statistics for the 2010 Tournament of Roses Parade earlier this afternoon.

According to the data, there were fifty-six medical incidents in the eight hour period between 6AM-2PM today, with seventeen of those incidents involving a patient being transported to a local hospital. This amount of incidents the fire department responded to is slightly up from last year, where there were fourty-nine incidents, although the number of hospital transports was down.

Fire department public information officer Lisa Derderian tells CCN that most of the incidents were things like shortness of breath and dehydration, although one man was taken to a local hospital after having a heart attack.
