Danilo Arturo Gonzalez, 33 years old, was sentenced on August 30th 2017 to 50 years to life, in state prison for raping two elderly women during two separate burglaries. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said that Gonzalez pleaded no contest to two counts of forcible rape and assault, by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury. Gonzales admitted to allegations of rape, during a burglary against multiple people. The first of these crimes took place in September 2015, when Gonzales startled a 71 year old woman by entering her home in Northridge, he dragged her to a bedroom where he raped her, a prosecutor said. The second of these allegations took place on May 13th, 2016, when Gonzales broke into the senior living center in Northridge at night, and raped an 89 year old woman. He was stopped when a caretaker rushed to the victim’s aid and called 911 according to the prosecutor.
There were also two other allegations of violence against the defendant, the first taking place at the same senior living center, when Gonzales attacked another woman in her 80’s, that took place in July 2015. He was also convicted of attacking a 91 year old man in October 105, at a different apartment building for seniors in North Hollywood.
