On September 8th, 2017, a traffic stop conducted by Deputy H. Reyes from the sheriff’s Central station, Loma Linda Patrol, lead to the arrest of a felon in possession of a firearm. The suspect, Modesto Villalba, age 39 of San Bernardino, was stopped initially for expired registration, but was found to have an active arrest warrant.
He was found with a 40-caliber handgun, methamphetamine, digital scale, and U.S. currency, the suspect is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Modesto Villalba was booked for felon in possession of a firearm, and was booked into Central Detention Center.
