Jacinto Trujillo, a 36-year old man out of Long Beach, was sentenced last week to 41 years to life in state prison for sexually abusing then killing his 9-year old stepdaughter in 2012. He also pleaded no contest to first-degree murder and oral copulation with a child of 10 years old or younger in case BA415068.
Trujillo also admitted an allegation that he personally used a deadly and dangerous weapon, a razor blade, during the act of the murder. The suspect has also been required to register as a lifetime sex offender, was also said to have raised his 9-year old stepdaughter since she was an infant.
Prosecutors say that Trujillo was walking with the girl near Woodruff Avenue and Willow Street in Long Beach, when he pulled out a razor blade and slashed her neck, killing her, then placed her bleeding body in a nearby church parking lot. Law enforcement officials responded to the scene and located the suspect near the victim’s body. The suspect admitted to previously orally copulating the girl on multiple occasions prior to killing her.
