Advisory: PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED IN ONGOING ARSON INVESTIGATION, 1001 LAS LOMAS ROAD.

Dear Duarte Community,

On Monday, September 18 at approximately 11:00 p.m., LA County Fire Department, and Temple Station Sheriff’s deputies responded to 1001 Las Lomas Road, Duarte regarding a structure fire.

When first responders arrived at the location, they found a detached parking structure fire with 11 vehicles fully engulfed in flames.  The smoke from the fire caused 4 people to suffer smoke inhalation. The Los Angeles County Fire extinguished the fire and treated all individuals at the scene.

During their investigation, deputies determined the fire was a result of arson.  Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Arson/Explosives Detail responded to the scene and took over the investigation.  The estimated property loss was approximate $120,000 dollars.
