Johnny Arellano of Norwalk, 10/18/19 dob, who was previously charged with having sexual relations with two teenagers, has now been accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a third minor.
He faces 10 felony counts: three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, three counts of sexual penetration by foreign object of a minor, three counts of oral copulation of a minor and one count of sodomy of a minor. Case VA146017 was amended this morning to add four additional charges. The defendant pleaded not guilty today to the new counts. He was originally arraigned on Oct. 10.
Arellano who was a former assistant track coach at Norwalk High School, allegedly engaged in sexual acts with two female students, while a concerned adult alerted the authorities and Arellano was taken into custody on October 5th. Arellano allegedly engaged in sexual acts with two female students, between June and October 2017 according to the prosecutor.
Upon further investigation, law enforcement learned of a third teenage girl who was reportedly involved in sexual relations with Arellano for several months.
He is scheduled to return to court on November 30th for a preliminary hearing setting in Department J of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Norwalk Branch. He faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years in state prison if convicted. The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
