Woman charged with Vehicular Manslaughter

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Brittnee Monique Crawford, her boyfriend, and her mother, have been charged in connection with the hit-and-run death of a 62-year old man four years ago. Crawford faces one felony count each of vehicular manslaughter with an allegation of fleeing the scene of the crime and hit-and-run driving resulting in death.

The co-defendants, Joshua Eugene Walker, and Katherine Rene Rodriguez both face one felony count of accessory after the fact. Rodriguez pleaded not guilty to the charge, Crawford and Walker both pleaded not guilty to their charges, and all three defendants are scheduled to return on March 19th to Department W31 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court Airport Branch.

Crawford has been charged with running over and killing a pedestrian, Paul Kevin Grover near Lincoln Boulevard and LMU Drive in Playa Vista on January 9th, 2014, while evidence at the scene led to charges being filed two years later.  She was arrested in January 2018, while her mother and boyfriend harbored her knowing the charges against her, allegedly. Crawford is facing a possible maximum sentence of 11 years in state prison and Walker and Rodriguez are both facing three years in jail.
