Two Men Plead Guilty to Kidnapping



Randall Elmer Stinson was sentenced to 22 years in state prison in connection with the kidnapping and shooting of Joel Keith Ravin. Stinston, 32-years old, was sentenced after pleading no contest on January 25th, to one count of attempted murder and admitting to allegations of personally using a handgun and personally inflicting great bodily injury. James Edward Baggett, his co-defendant, was also sentenced, on February 7th to 13 years in state prison after pleading no contest to kidnapping on January 9th, he had also admitted to an allegation of personally using a handgun.

Both men agreed to plea deals, and according to the criminal complaint Ravin, was kidnapped and forced into the suspect’s vehicle then driven to various locations, on October 4th, 2015. Said victim was driven back to his home where he was shot multiple times but survived.
