Women, Wealth, Warriors – Powerful Women in Business Give Tips for Gaining Financial Freedom

Powerful Women Provide Tips for Success to Women Entrepreneurs

Pasadena, CA – As the world celebrates Women’s History during the month of March, powerful and successful women will bring a message of empowerment and tips for success to women thinking about starting their own businesses and those who already have one. Celebrities including ABC 7 Los Angeles’ Coleen Sullivan, R&B Singer Teedra Moses, Comedian Sunda Croonquist, and Rapper Yo-Yo are just a few of the recognizable names headlining the Women, Wealth, Warriors 9th Annual Luncheon in Pasadena, Saturday, March 24th.

Tunisia Offray, the event’s organizer, is a single mother of four who put the luncheon together after finding herself laid off from work following the 2008 economic downturn. Tunisia worried about how she’d take care of herself and her kids. She decided creating her own business was the way to go and founded Offray Accounting and Bookkeeping Services, then later went on to establish Prestige Insurance and Financial Services. Both of her businesses are successful to date.

“Entrepreneurship is the key to financial freedom for many women,” Offray says. “I know, because it’s helped me. I am my own boss, I create my own hours, and I’m able to spend much more time with my kids and provide for them.”

The award-winning business woman says she’s inspired to share her story because she has a passion for helping women and girls reach their dreams and to achieve her level of success. “It is our duty in life to give back and empower others,” says Offray. “Each one should teach one. As women, we must be an example to our young girls. No matter what the circumstances may be in life, we must let our girls know that success is always achievable.”

The celebrities and achievers speaking and performing at the event are all accomplished women and men who have stared down major obstacles and won. They’ll talk about the challenges they have faced in business and share how they overcame the hurdles, providing inspiration for other business owners.

The lunch event takes place Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena. Doors open at 10am. Tickets are available online at www.womenwealthwarriors.org. Proceeds will benefit Shepherd’s Door Domestic Violence Resource Center in Pasadena. The National Network to End Domestic Violence points out that “financial abuse is an aspect of domestic violence that doesn’t often make it into the headlines because it is such a subtle method of control. However, it is a phenomenon that rears its ugly head in 98 percent of domestic violence cases.”

Besides the celebrities listed above, the luncheon will also feature Keynote Speaker Georgia Zachary, President of Women of AT&T, cheese tea magnate Jenny Zheng, and fitness nutrition specialist Julia Morichelli. You’ll also hear from prolific jazz saxophonist Vaughn Fahie, world renowned DJ Miss Joy, Actress Trisha Mann Grant and stunt performer Natascha Hopkins, body double for Zoe Kravitz and Halle Berry at the event, among many other speakers.

Major companies see the value in supporting women-owned businesses and have joined as event sponsors including media sponsor ABC7 and lunch sponsors Trader Joe’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Jimmy Johns, Pie and Burger, Stone Fire Grill, and Green Street Restaurant.
