The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Lino Robert Colon, was charged with one count of premeditated attempted murder and one count of second-degree robbery. Charged in the stabbing and robbery of a woman at a laundromat, Colon was also charged with allegations of inflicting great bodily injury and using a deadly and dangerous weapon, a knife.
He allegedly attacked a woman in a laundromat south of Koreatown on the evening of March 1, as the victim was using a coin exchange machine, he then allegedly grabbed the victim’s purse and stabbed her in the neck with a knife. Colon is accused of fleeing the scene with the purse and was arrested one week later. If convicted, he faces a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison.
