Sean Lee Smith, NFL player, charged with Assault

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Sean Lee Smith, NFL player, pleaded guilty to an assault on his sister’s boyfriend in Old Town Pasadena. Smith entered a plea to one felony count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, and admitted to inflicting great bodily injury upon the victim. He was sentenced to one year in jail and five years of formal probation.

Sean Lee Smith assaulted and stomped on the victim’s head near the corner of Arroyo Parkway and Colorado Boulevard, on July 4th, 2017, the victim, long time boyfriend of Smith’s sister was attempting to intervene in a dispute between Smith and his sister.
