The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that Chaney Armstrong, dob 9/19/71, has been charged with a spree of convenience store robberies. Armstrong was charged with 11 felony counts of second-degree robbery and six felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in case BA467250. These charges include allegations of personal use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Her arraignment was continued until May 16th in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center. Her bail is set at more than $1.5 million.
According to prosecutors, she had used a handgun to rob multiple stores, including convenience stores and markets from January 11th to April 10th 2018, within a several-block radius of her residence. She is facing up to 195 years in state prison. The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
