High School Track Coach Charged with Having a Two Year Relationship with a Student

A track coach at Rosemead High School has been charged with having a long-term sexual relationship with a student.

According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, Fidel Camarena Dominguez, 37, has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a female student from February 2015 to June 2017. At the time the relationship began the victim was 14-years-old. 

Dominguez has been charged with six counts of lewd acts upon a child of 14 or 15, two counts of oral copulation of a person under 16, dissuading a witness, one count of unlawful sexual intercourse of a person under 18, and one count of oral copulation with a person under 18. 

If convicted Dominguez faces a maximum of over 10 years in state prison.  He was arraigned on March 5 and his bail is currently set at $400,000.
