Ex-Felon Sentenced to 7 Years for Illegal Possession of Firearms and Animal Cruelty

Ignacio Jesus Adame, 43, has pleaded guilty to one count of criminal threats and three counts each of possession of a firearm by a felon and animal cruelty.

On November 21, 2018 deputies entered Adame’s house with a search warrant after he threatened to shoot water company employees who came to disconnect his meter. There deputies found 23 firearms, large capacity magazines, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and 12 starving chihuahuas.

Adame has been sentenced to seven years in state prison after a negotiated plea.

The chihuahuas were put in the care of the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control where they were nursed back to health and adopted.
