East Los Angeles resident Rebecca Surratt, 28, has entered a no-contest plea to the murder of her 82-year-old grandmother Maria Yslas.
On May 6, 2016 Surratt and Yslas, who then lived together, got into an argument that escalated to Surratt beating Yslas to death.
Surratt was charged with one count of second-degree murder and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison on March 13 of this year.
