In the middle of the Pasadena wind storm recovery process at about 2:15pm Saturday, Pasadena Firefighters responded to a house fire on the three hundred block of North Oakland Avenue in Pasadena, according to a recent report from the Pasadena Fire Department.
Upon first arriving to the incident, firefighters observed a large, two-story home fully engulfed in flames and began attacking the fire, which also spread to the shoulder of the 210 freeway sparking a separate vegetation fire, the report said.
One firefighter also suffered a hand injury while fighting the fire and was taken to a local hospital, treated and later released.
Fire Department officials say the fire caused nearly $800,000 worth of damage and its cause is currently under investigation by Fire Arson Investigators.
The Red Cross also responded to the incident to assist three people who were displaced from the affected home.
