LA County Sheriff’s Deputies say a light-skinned Hispanic man was apparently lying in wait Monday evening around 8pm when a family returned home to the 11000 Block of Kristi Court in Unincorporated Arcadia.
Police say the man pointed a gun at the family, a mother, father, 3 and 5 year old boys, and a six year old girl, and demanded money. They gave him their rent money, but investigators say the thief was determined there was more in the house. He forced them inside, told the mother and kids to go in the bedroom, told them not to come out, and demanded cash from the father. The thief then fired several shots and left. The mother and kids left the bedroom to find their husband and father with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police are now asking for help as they look for the suspect hey describe as a 30-35 year old light-skinned Hispanic male. Investigators want anyone with information to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. Anyone who wants to provide information anonymously can call “Crime Stoppers” at (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.
