City To Host Meeting On Temporary Fire Station 39

City officials announced they will hold a neighborhood meeting next Tuesday, May 8th, to discuss the operations of currently temporary Pasadena Fire Station 39. The meeting will be held at the San Rafael School auditorium at 6pm, according to the City.

Pasadena Fire Chief Calvin Wells, as well as City Manager Michael Beck and District 6 Councilmember Steve Madison, will address the public at the meeting to review operations at the temporary station, currently located at 1090 Nithsdale Road in Pasadena.

Pasadena Fire Station 39 was originally shut down in February after a seismic study conducted by the city revealed that the building housing the station was at risk of collapsing during a major earthquake. It is currently undergoing a renovation and seismic retrofitting.
