Four Sent To Hospital After Vehicle Strikes Pasadena Fire Engine

A vehicle struck a Pasadena Fire Engine late last night, injuring two people in the vehicle and two Pasadena Firefighters. The incident, which happened a little after 11:00pm Saturday night, occurred when a Chevrolet Malibu with a juvenile driver and adult passenger struck Pasadena Fire Engine #32 travelling Southbound on Craig Avenue in Pasadena.

The fire engine was responding with its lights and siren to a medical call within the city at the time of the crash. Preliminary reports show the minor driving the Malibu was unlicensed.

As a result of the crash, the two occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital in serious condition, according to the Pasadena Fire Department. Additionally, two firefighters were also injured in the incident and were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Chevrolet Malibu involved in the incident sustained major damage as a result of the incident while the Fire Engine also sustained significant damage.

Pasadena Police Officials are currently investigating the incident.
