On Tuesday authorities say a 86 year old woman was hit by a vehicle in South El Monte around 9:00 a.m. in the morning. They say she later died of her injuries.
Police say the fatal accident happened when the elderly woman crossed the street in a crosswalk when the vehicle struck her while making a left turn.
Officials say the elderly woman was taken to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center where she was later pronounced died.
