Police say a big rig carrying 35,000 pounds of grapes crashed into the center divider and overturned on the 210 Freeway this morning at 4:30 a.m. in the city of Monrovia. The California Highway Patrol say because of the accident a Sig Alert was issued at 5:12 a.m., but was later extended until after 2:00 pm. They say two lanes on the westbound side of the freeway were closed and traffic was backed up.

The CHP say there weren’t any injuries and none of the grapes spilled out on the freeway. They say the accident is currently under investigation.
