CCN_food-drive

Five Acres, a Pasadena non-profit organization that promotes safety, well-being, and permanency for children and their families, say they are having a Thanksgiving food drive. They are requesting the public’s help to ensure families can share in a special holiday meal this season, says the organization. They say non-perishable foods and $20 grocery store cards are needed for their collection.

All interested donors can purchase the following items on this shopping list:

– $20 grocery store cards
– canned ham
– canned cranberries
– canned vegetables
– packaged pasta
– canned gravy
– cake mix
– stuffing mix
– packaged rice
– canned soup
– baby food
– canned fruit

Representatives say items can be taken to Five Acres located at 760 W. Mountain View Street in Altadena. They say donations can be dropped off, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., but the deadline is on Friday, November 22nd.
