The city of Pasadena says they are launching the 11th annual “Operation Gobble Gobble” to distribute 400 Thanksgiving turkeys to community agencies in the area that serve low-income households. They say Major Bill Bogaard will jump start the operation at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd at Pasadena City Hall.

Ralphs Grocery Company and Food 4 Less are generously donating the turkeys along with stuffing, canned vegetables, potatoes, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Officials says the turkeys will be delivered to the Pasadena Unified School District’s Healthy Start program, Union Station Foundation, Armenian Relief Society, Ronald McDonald House, Mothers’ Club Family Learning Center, Lutheran Social Services, Vista Nova Home for the Blind, El Centro de Acción Social, and Elizabeth House.

The Mayor says this program has truly been a blessing to those that are in need. He says this operation has allowed 44,000 underprivileged families the chance to celebrate the holiday.
