Pasadena Police arrested 18 year old Jonjon Crummie, a suspect in the death of a 19 year-old woman in Pasadena this past weekend.

Investigators responded to a call of shots fired in the 1500 block of Raymond Avenue early Sunday morning. Upon arrival, detectives located a 19-year-old Hispanic woman dead inside a house from a gunshot wound.  Classmates of the woman say her name is Irais Acosta and that she attended Pasadena City College.  Students held a vigil in her memory Tuesday evening.

As homicide detectives continued to investigate, Crummie’s mother transported the 18-year-old to the Los Angeles County Medical Center Monday, where he was picked up by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs pending the arrival of Pasadena Police, who took Crummie into custody without incident Monday afternoon.
