The annual Temple City Camellia Festival and Parade, set to begin this Friday, is expected to have an impact on vehicle traffic between February 19 and February 24.
In its 70th year, the festival begins at 4 p.m February 21st on Las Tunas Drive in front of Temple City Park. During the Festival, Las Tunas Drive will be shut down between 12 p.m. and 6 a.m. for cars between Kauffman Ave. and Golden West Ave. The festival will end on Sunday, February 23, at 8 p.m.
Here’s a list of some of the impacted streets:
- Las Tunas Dr. between Rosemead Blvd. and Baldwin Ave. – CLOSED for vehicular traffic 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sultana Ave. between Hermosa Dr. and Broadway – CLOSED for vehicular traffic 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Kauffman Ave. between Woodruff Ave. and Workman Ave. – CLOSED for vehicular traffic 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Camellia Parade takes place Saturday, February 22nd, beginning at 10 a.m. Organizers say there will be no parking along the parade route and surrounding streets on February 22nd between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.
During the street closures, north and south access will be limited to Rosemead Blvd. and Baldwin Ave.
