Pasadena Fire E31 responded to a car fire at 150 Bellefontaine in Pasadena July 27. En-route, the incident was upgraded to a Structure Fire due to reports that the fire had extended into the adjacent Nursing Facility.

On arrival, units performed fire attack, evacuation, ventilation, and checked for fire extension. Additional units provided rehabilitation and monitoring of the residents. The fire was quickly extinguished.

All 127 residents of the facility were evacuated or sheltered-in-place. All residents and staff were accounted for, and reoccupied the building. The fire destroyed one vehicle, damaged a second vehicle, and damaged one room. The occupant of the affected room was moved to a different room in the facility.

Fire personnel assisted staff with the movement of the residents back into the facility. One Firefighter was injured and transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
