PASADENA – City Councilwoman Jacque Robinson will attend a special three-day academy in Baltimore, Md., to discuss solutions to the foreclosure crisis and create a plan for promoting neighborhood stabilization in Pasadena, city officials announced Tuesday.The Policy Academy on Foreclosure and Neighborhood Stabilization is being sponsored Thursday through Sunday by the Young Elected Officials Network; Robinson will join participants nationwide to study the origins of the foreclosure crisis, discuss solutions and tour Baltimore neighborhoods where stabilization efforts are underway.
Foreclosure are happening at a “disproportionate rate in communities of color, even here in Pasadena,” Robinson said in a statement Tuesday, adding that she hoped to being back ideas to help Pasadena homeowners and families in a tough economy.
