The dedication ceremony took place on Thursday, November 6th, 2014 at 4:00 pm. The site is located at 99 Santa Clara Street (at First Avenue), Arcadia.

Council members, former mayors, transit authorities, VIPs and other dignitaries from the area attended the invitational reception, celebrating the opening of the Arcadia Transit Plaza.

The construction of the Gold Line Foothill Extension will achieve an important milestone next month when the Arcadia Transit Plaza opens to the public.

The Arcadia Transit Plaza is made possible by a partnership between the Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority and the City of Arcadia, with funding from the Federal Department of Transportation, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the City of Arcadia.

This multi-agency funded transit plaza will be an important part of downtown Arcadia; it will serve as a transportation hub and a vibrant gathering space for the community.
