No matter who’s playing, Super Bowl Sunday is a ritual. While waiting for 40 minutes in the grocery store line today I chatted with others buying their last minute chips and beer. Most people I talked to agreed that even if their team isn’t playing in the big game we get together for food, commercials and the half-time show.
I avoided the rowdy Super Bowl Party and opted to enjoy the game with my Dad. Not knowing who was performing at half-time we rushed to re-fill the snacks and catch the big show for the big game.
Can someone please tell me Who thought The Who lived up to prior half-time shows? What happened, Who happened. Where were all the usual dancing people, fireworks, flames, sparks? I know it has been toned down since the wardrobe malufunction but… Who missed that umph! I did and so did my Dad. I like The Who, but who else feels they fell short this year? Maybe it wasn’t their fault but Whos’ fault was it then. Who took out the big bang from the big show for the big game?
The halftime show was a huge disappointment but why stop there. The commercials were nothing to brag about.
