Deputies at the Temple Station of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the public’s help in finding a man they say is impersonating a Peace Officer. They’ve released a sketch of the suspect and a picture of a vehicle they say looks like the one the suspect drove.
Investigators say the man was driving an unmarked sedan with flashing red and blue lights and pulled over a female driver in the 1400 Block of Buena Vista Street in Duarte Saturday, August 29th around 11pm. The man was dressed similar to police officers, but was wearing a green “polo” style shirt.
Authorities say the man threatened to arrest the woman, then assaulted her. He got back in his car and drove away east down the 1300 block of Central Avenue in Duarte. Investigators describe the suspect as a White male, between 40-50 years old, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was about 6 foot tall and weighed 220 pounds.
Investigators say no other suspects were seen, and that the woman suffered minor injuries. Deputies ask anyone with information about this case to contact Temple Station detectives at (626) 285-7171.
