Man Assaulted With Ice Pick on Mulberry Drive and Calmada Ave

At approximately 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, Norwalk Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call. It had been reported that a man was attacked with an ice pick after being stopped by three Hispanic men in a dark colored sedan. The suspects immediately fled the scene, heading east towards Mulbery Drive and Calmada Avenue. The victim indicates that this may have been a gang related incident, but refused to disclose any other information. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. There were no witnesses or evidence at the scene, and the investigation will be continued.
