A history of threats over child custody issues turned into 26 years to life for this Pasadena man and murderous for the mother of his two children.
In 2015 Jose Roberto Jr was suspected of stabbing and strangling his girlfriend of the time. The victim’s, LaJoya McCoy, 31, body was found in her car nearly a week after the incident.
The defendant, 49, was found guilty on one count of first-degree murder June 19, 2017. He will face 26 years to life in state prison
