Michael Jermone Parks, 48 years old, was sentenced today to 113 years to life in state prison for fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend in the head at a Pacoima residence. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office announced today that Parks was found guilty by a jury of one count of first-degree murder on June 20th, 2017.
Parks was found true of allegations that he had used a handgun and knife as deadly weapons in murder. And in addition, he was also found to have been convicted of several felonies dating all the way back to 1985, including robbery, possession of cocaine base for sale and assault with a firearm.
The incident occurred on September 7th, 2017, when Parks strangled, stabbed, and fatally shot G’Teasha F., after convincing her to meet him at his Uncle’s Pacoima home. He fled and was arrested the next day in Las Vegas. According to evidence, the couple had also recently broken up when the murder occurred.
