Aurelio Teran, 38-years old, is scheduled in court to face a murder charge for the domestic violence killing of his wife last month. He faces one count each of murder, dissuading a witness from testifying, child abuse, injuring a spouse and attempting to dissuade a witness from testifying and two counts of criminal threats.
His arraignment is scheduled for today in Department 100 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Van Nuys Branch, Case LA086708 filed for a warrant on August 3oth.
Teran was charged on August 25th with assaulting his wife, Viridiana T., 32-years old, and threatening her, and the following day allegedly stabbed her to death. He then fled to Ventura County and was arrested days later after being struck by a car according to prosecutors.
If convicted, Teran faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison. Suspect’s bail is set at $2.47 million, Deputy District Attorney Michelle Pincus is the assigned prosecutor.
