A former Rowland Elementary School teacher has pleaded guilty to assaulting students.
Second-grade elementary school teacher Jose Cruz Martinez had admitted to sexually assaulting five students, four of whom were girls aged 7 to 8, reports the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. Martinez assaulted the young girls while on the Rowland campus between August 2017 and April 2018.
Martinez has entered a no contest plea for four felony counts of lewd acts upon a child and a misdemeanor account of child molestation. He is facing up to five years in state prison. Martinez faces sentencing March 21st.
