Miami Beach Native Sentenced to 20 Years for Attempting to Entice a Minor

Florida man sentenced to 20 years in prison for attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, reports the U. S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Florida.

Jay Walter Sall, 54, a Miami Beach native, has been sentenced to 240 months in prison. According to court records Sall exchanged text messages with an undercover FBI agent whom he believed to be the parent of a 9-year-old daughter. In the messages Sall solicited and paid for the agent to record themselves having sex with the 9-year-old daughter. Records also show that Sall secretly recorded three other females, two of which were minors, while also communicating with the agent.

On November 29 of last year Sall pleaded guilty to the charges of attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. In addition to his 240 month prison sentence Sall must pay a fine of $50,000. He will have 15 years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender for life.
