Man sentenced for distribution of child pornography.
On February 5, Carlos Enrique Castillo, 55, entered a no contest plea to 5 felony counts of distribution of obscene matter and one felony count of possession of over 600 images of child or youth pornography, reports the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
An investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that from the October 2017 to March 2018 Castillo sent files containing child pornography from his personal computer. He also had videos and images of child pornography. At the time of the investigation Castillo was employed at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
On February 28, 2019 Castillo was sentenced to a two-year suspended state prison term and placed on five years of felony probation. In addition Castillo must register as a sex offender for life and attend 52 weeks of sex offender counseling.
