Pasadena police say today a deputy involved shooting has led to a current massive manhunt in which the suspects remain at large. They say the Alhambra police department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the FBI, and themselves were involved in the lookout to find the suspects.
Authorities say police officers were patrolling Orange Grove Boulevard and Mar Vista Avenue this afternoon when a car crashed into a Sheriff’ deputy vehicle.
Two men, police say ran from the vehicle; while cops chased after them. Officers say one of the suspects fired multiple shots from his gun, but authorities returned a round back at them. They say none of the officers were injured in the exchange of shots.
Police say a perimeter was set up between Maple and Villa street; and also Wilson and Hill avenue. They say authorities were armed with assault rifles in the area.
Officials say that earlier today, the Pasadena Police Department BearCat armored vehicle was deployed as were K-9 units from both the Pasadena and Alhambra police department.
The Pasadena Police Department say the hunt for the suspects has ended this evening, but they are actively investigating the details of this case.
