Police say last night a suspect robbed a a convenience store, but he was caught and arrested at 6:35 a.m., this morning. They say the incident happened around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday when police responded to a robbery alarm at 7-Eleven in Alhambra.
Authorities say a witness called police to report he had seen the robbery take place and was following the suspect as he drove east on Huntington Drive. Officers say they found the suspect near San Marino High School.
Alhambra police say the alleged robber threatened cops when he reached for his waistband so they fired shots before catching him at the scene. They say the suspect wasn’t hit from their gunfire.
