Pasadena city officials say since Christmas is a federal holiday, local services and businesses will be closed to celebrate. The following is a closure schedule that will take effect in Pasadena and other cities in Southern California:
* City offices: Closed
* Banks: Closed
* The United States Postal Service: Closed; no residential or business delivery
* UPS: Closed; no delivery
* Trash: Service will be delayed by one day
* Westfield shopping malls: Closed
* Target: Closed
* Costco: Closed
* Sam’s Club: Closed
* LA Fitness: Closed
* 24 Hour Fitness: Closed
* Gold’s Gym: Closed
* Most western restaurants: Closed; call beforehand
* Most Asian restaurants: Open; call beforehand
PASADENA-SPECIFIC SERVICES
* All parking meters are free and parking time limits won’t be enforced
* Red curb violations and blocking fire hydrants will be enforced
* Vehicles violating parking restrictions will be towed at owners’ expense
* Fire and police departments: Staffed for patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services
* Water and power department: Call 626-744-4673 for emergencies; call 626-744-4005 or visit www.PWPweb.com to pay bills
* Area Rapid Transit System (ARTS) and Dial-A-Ride: Not in operation
* Libraries: Closed Dec. 24-25
