Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Half Marathon Kicks Off This Sunday

CCN The Rose Bowl Half Marathon

Officials say about 1,500 runners of all ages are invited this Sunday, February 23rd  to participate at The Rose Bowl Half Marathon. They say this family event has a little bit of something for everyone, such as: the 1K fun run for kids, the 5K, the 10K, and the half-marathon run. Half-marathon competitors will run past and through some of Pasadena’s greatest landmarks; including the Rose Bowl, the Colorado Bridge, the Arroyo Seco, Devil’s Gate Dam, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the new Flintwash Bridge.

A runners packet must be picked up on Saturday, February 22nd in order for runners to participate, say representatives. They say the packet will include an ankle bracelet that will automatically record each runner’s time.

All runners must be at the Rose Bowl at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday as organizers say they will be closing down the roads for the first race that starts at 8:00 a.m. The top male and female runners from all categories will receive a prize from Halo Top ice cream. Organizers say after the run, participants may join an exposition at the Horizon Club, which will include a beer garden for runners aged 21 and above.

The cost to register for the races is $15 for the 1K run, $40 for the 5K and 10k, and $135 for the half-marathon. For more information about the races, please call (714) 978-1528 or visit http://www.pacificsportsllc.com.
