Celebrate Earth Day

Pasadena officials say they are inviting residents and nonresidents this Saturday, April 20th to celebrate a world of nature, art, and live music at the 11th Annual Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival. They say this annual event will start at 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.at Memorial Park and the Armory Center for the Arts.

City administrators say at the 11th Annual Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival there will be an eco-marketplace, tips on living a green lifestyle, energy and water efficiency promotion, composting guidelines, organic foods to eat, a sustainable beer and wine garden, green building designing ideas, alternative transportation information, and renewable energy technology pointers. They say in addition to all of these Earth Day activities, free youth art workshops will be available throughout the day.

Pasadena’s annual Earth Day celebration is free and is one of the biggest Earth Day events in Southern California. This free family festival is located on: 145 N. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Keep in mind that pre-festival activities kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19th at the Levitt Pavilion in Memorial Park. A free screening of “Occupy Love,” a documentary about the human spirit and climate issues will be shown.
